American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She started her career as a supporting role in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2006) and She's the Man (2006). Later, she played the role of reporter Willa McPherson on FX's series Dirt. She also played an appearance in the short-lived FX series The Ex List. She played the role of a young Moira O'Hara during the initial season of FX's American Horror Story, and she played Kaylee in the third season. She played Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voices a variety of characters from the animated series Family Guy. Since 2019she has appeared in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother at the age of 10. The family lived in various places for a year before eventually settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was first interested in singing, acting and photography at 13. Breckenridge re-located to Los Angeles with the help from her mother, who was 15.
