Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actor working on television, film and theater. Gifted thespian, she is working in the world of professional acting for the last 27 years. Her first appearance on stage as a character in a 1990 production of The Big Funk (John Patrick Shanley) on Broadway off-Broadway. In The Perfect Tribute, she had her debut TV role the following year. In 1992, she was enlisted as a supporting character in Basic Instinct. It marked the start of her career career. It was in the movie The Firm however that she was chosen as the female lead for the very first time, and this was also against stars like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 90s, she worked with many top actors in Hollywood, such as Gwyneth paltrow and Hugh Grant. Recently, she was the character Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
